Lansdowne is approximately 32 miles from downtown Washington, DC, and 11 miles from Dulles Airport. It is located north of Route 7 and south of the Potomac River. It has a total area of 4.1 square miles or 1,900 acres.
Developed as a master-planned community in 2005 by William A. Hazel, Inc., Lansdowne is known for upscale residential neighborhoods, close proximity to healthcare (Inova Loudoun), and golf & spa access at Lansdowne Resort. There is a town center with office and retail, as well as an active adult living facility, along with over 3,000 residential homes.
